Nourrice Creche & Montessori

Design Brief

Nourrice Creche and Montessori is located in Clonard, Wexford. Gillian, the owner of the company, wanted her website to be fun, inviting, and very cheerful – reflective of the little people who go there. It also needed to set Nourrice apart from competitor creches, and highlight their unique selling point (USP), which is their Great Outdoors Programme.

In terms of visual appeal, an outdoor element was an important aspect to portray to reflect the spacious garden where kids can learn and play and have fun in a safe learning environment.

We had designed Nourrice’s previous website, their current website is a re-design of the original. The previous design resonated with Gillian and her staff, so the company wanted to keep many of the visual references from the original design.  The original website was hand coded. The new website needed to be brought up to current website and usability standards, and be responsive to mobile devices.

Designed Solution

In keeping with the previous website’s look and feel, the new design has visual cues of a bright blue sky with children playing and a kite flying freely. Along with these visuals, a fence illustration at the footer, all contribute to convey an atmosphere that is reflective of the safe nurturing environment that is Nourrice Creche & Montessori.

A brightly coloured navigation menu brings usability focus to the website design, along with large photographic images of staff, delicious food served, the rooms and Nourrice’s outdoor spaces. Image galleries showcase the different rooms that children move through in their development stages while attending the creche.

The new design is hand-coded in HTML and CSS, with a bespoke mobile responsive navigation menu.

The website is optimized for Search Engines, specifically for: ‘Creche and Montessori Wexford, ‘Creches Wexford’, and ‘Montessori Wexford’,  – for these search terms Nourrice is found on page one in Google search results.

Sandra is extremely intuitive. At our first meeting, I gave a background of the company and what we wanted to portray through the website. Her comprehension and ability to create the online presence we desired was exceptional
