Design Brief
Teach Fáilte is a self-catering accommodation property located in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. The owners Kay & Paul wanted a new mobile responsive website to represent their accommodation offering to prospective tourists and visitors to the South East of Ireland.
The website needed to showcase Teach Fáilte’s rooms and accommodation with photographs of the interior and exterior of the property and garden spaces.
Alongside the visual design of the website, key messaging and wording needed to be defined, to create and give a sense of the experience past visitors to Teach Fáilte, had felt. They have lots of testimonials from happy visitors to attest to the wonderful accommodation they offer.
The website needed to be managed by the owners so that they could update it themselves.
Search engine optimisation was also required, so that the site could be found on Google and other search engines.

Designed Solution
Visual Look and Feel
Teach Fáilte’s owners Kay & Paul provided photos of their property, which are light-filled and airy. It was important to allow the photos to take center stage on the website to showcase their self-catering accommodation offering. The website needed to be able to compete with Air BnB, therefore images needed to be large and clean in appearance.
Together we created a visual look and feel that reflected the naturalistic setting that Teach Fáilte is situated within. The colours of pink and green were chosen to reflect floral blooms and the interior paintwork of the house. This creates a continuity of feeling and ambiance from the outside in. Key messaging invites visitors to book and ‘stay at their own pace’.
Platform
The website was designed and built using WordPress Content Management System, this gave the owners the ability to update it themselves. Simple Calls to Action (CTA’s) were designed to entice visitors to pick up the phone and make a booking in person.
Responsive Website Design
Teach Fáilte’s website is responsive across all mobile devices and screen sizes.
